18 years of teaching experience at your service
I started learning Japanese when I was 13 years old and I had the chance to spend 2 years in Japan:
- one as an exchange student with the ROTARY International Youth Program in Kuwana, Mie prefecture (三重県桑名市)
- and one as an assistant language teacher with the JET Programme in Okayama (岡山県岡山市).
Studying and teaching Japanese is my passion, and I want to share it with you. I know what it is like to study Japanese from scratch and understand the learners' challenges as I have passed:
- a Master's Degree in Japanese Studies from Lyon 3 University (France)
- the prerequisite courses for the PhD in Education of Concordia University (Quebec)
- the level 1 of the JLPT (日本語能力試験 Nihongo Nôryoku Shiken)
- the level J1+ of the BJT (ビジネス日本語能力テスト Business Nihongo Nôryoku Test)
- the level 2 of the Kanji Proficiency Test (漢字検定 Kanji Kentei, or 漢検 Kanken)
I have also worked for 2 years as a translator/interpreter in a Japanese company so I am well aware of the corporate culture.
I have been teaching for the past 18 years in a variety of educational environments: INSA Lyon University, language schools, private tutoring, as well as companies.

Japanese language lessons in Montreal
Private and semi-private lessons take place in the comfort of a beautiful home in "Le Plateau" (walking distance from Sherbrooke metro station: 5 minutes). Hot beverage offered!

This evaluation is free and usually takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
It is also a great occasion to get to know each other, explain how the lessons work and answer your questions.
You can now book your lesson online, on a first-come first-served basis. Please try to keep the same schedule every week to ensure you will have a spot.
Case 2) You requested a group lesson although you are alone. Please read the point about group lessons above.
Case 3) There was a double-booking request. In this case, priority is given to the student who:
- has taken the greater number of lessons with me
- hasn’t canceled lessons
- hasn’t rescheduled lessons
